About this course

The journey

Lua is tiny, quick to learn and everywhere: games, editors, servers and embedded devices. In a weekend you go from installing Lua to writing scripts with tables, functions, string handling and modules.

Every lesson is short and ends with a small script you can run straight away, so by Sunday evening you are ready for any of the other courses on the Lua line.

    One euro well spent

Did it exactly as advertised over a weekend and wrote my first game mod on Monday. Tables are explained better than anywhere else I looked.

    Short lessons, perfect for evenings

Each lesson ends with something that runs, which kept me motivated. I now use it with my programming club.

    Quick and clear

As an experienced programmer I skimmed the first part, but the patterns and modules sections were a useful reference.
