Short list, and deliberately so. If you meet these you can start today.
Items, stacks, equipment slots, containers and crafting recipes, all defined as Godot resources so designers can add content in the editor without touching code. The system handles weight and slot limits, stack splitting, drag-and-drop between grids, tooltips and controller navigation.
Crafting supports stations, timed recipes and unlock conditions. Everything serialises cleanly for saving, and a demo scene with forty example items shows each feature in use.

Indie game developer
My partner adds items and recipes in the editor without asking me anything. Controller navigation in the grid was the bit I dreaded writing and it was already done.

Works well in my project. The demo scene has a lot going on, so it took me a while to separate what I needed from the showcase parts.
Gameplay programmer for Unity and Godot
Aiko has shipped three indie titles and spent two years as a tools programmer at a mid-sized studio. She builds the Game Systems line from the code she kept rewriting between projects: inventories, dialogue, saves and controllers. Each system is data-driven and editor-friendly, so designers can tune it without asking a programmer.
