Short list, and deliberately so. If you meet these you can start today.
Go API Depot is a standard-library-first REST API template: net/http routing, sqlc-generated queries against PostgreSQL, structured logging with slog, and configuration from the environment. There is no framework to learn and nothing that will be abandoned in two years.
The template includes request validation, consistent error responses, API-key and JWT authentication middleware, rate limiting, request IDs, health and readiness endpoints, graceful shutdown and an OpenAPI 3.1 document generated from the handlers. Integration tests run against a real Postgres container.
Lars has annotated every security-relevant decision, from timing-safe token comparison to the limits on request body size.

Thomas Weiss
Go developer
Standard library routing and sqlc is exactly how I like to write Go. The security annotations taught me a couple of things about request limits.
Go and Rust engineer with a security habit
Lars started out in penetration testing and moved into backend engineering, so he writes Go services the way an attacker would read them. He maintains the Go API and Postgres tenancy modules and the whole Security line. His audit kits explain the reason behind every check, because a checklist nobody understands gets skipped.
