Short list, and deliberately so. If you meet these you can start today.
FastAPI Terminus is the backend skeleton Priya wishes she had been handed on her first Python API job. It is organised by feature rather than by layer, uses async SQLAlchemy 2 with Alembic migrations, and ships JWT authentication with refresh tokens, password reset and rate limiting on the login route.
Background work runs on a small, documented job queue backed by Redis, and every endpoint is covered by pytest with a disposable test database that spins up in Docker. The OpenAPI schema is tidy enough to hand to a front-end team on day one.
It is deliberately unclever. There is no plugin system and no magic dependency container — just readable modules, a Makefile with the dozen commands you actually run, and a README that walks you from clone to first deployed endpoint in under an hour.

Python developer
The Makefile and README did exactly what they promised. Organising by feature instead of by layer made the project much easier to navigate as it grew.
Python automation and cross-platform app engineer
Priya automates the dull parts of data and operations work for a living and builds field apps that have to work without a signal. She maintains the Python automation tools and the Flutter starter, with a strong preference for small, tested modules over clever frameworks. Everything she releases is tested on the oldest device and OS version it claims to support.
